Change Your Mood Immediately
We all have bad days and annoying moments. Days where we just feel burdened or a little blue. It's not a good feeling. We're in need of an "attitude adjustment."
Here's a quick technique to help change your mood quickly. Consciously change your physical state.
When we feel "off" our physical demeanor reflects it. Our shoulders are slumped forward. Our breathing is shallow. We're moving slowly. We feel like a slab of concrete is strapped to our back..and we look like it too.
On the other end of the spectrum, when we're feeling good, we're energized. We walk cheerily along, we're chatting with people, and we're breathing in the fresh air. Our physical demeanor reflects our mood. But the power works both ways.
Manage your body to manage your mood.
Make a conscious effort to stand or sit up straight. Put your shoulders back and your head up. Breathe deeply. Get up and walk around. Pick up your pace and just walk a little faster with your shoulders back and your head up. When people ask how you are, say "Great!" Say it with enthusiasm even if you really have to make an effort. You'll be amazed at how quickly this changes your mood!
You can use this technique any time. You may have to keep reminding yourself to do it. But very soon you'll notice that you have in fact changed your whole state of mind.

A very worthy thought. Many people don't realize the profound effect their moods have on their friends and family and the world at large. This is a good daily practice for us all.
